Animation Problem

Apr 02, 2014

I've completed a presentation using PowerPoint 10 and Presenter 13.  I've set up the slide animation to appear when clicked.  When I sync the animations to the narrative and then test it, it works fine.  But when I preview or publish, all the text shows up at once on the slide and at the point they're supposed to appear the text flashes.  What am I doing wrong, and how do I fix it?

I've run into this before.

I think you've animated the appearance of the content holder and the text within the content holder. Look at the animation pane in PPT to see.

If that's the case, and it's the effect you want to generate, then try this:

In the Animation pane, delete each animation that is for the text -- leaving the animation for the content holder. Then select the text within the content holder and apply your animations.

This should cause the content holder to appear first, and it will be empty... then the subsequent animations will play.

I hope that helps!
