Annotation.exe - frequent crashing and extra icon

Dec 12, 2011

Please help! We have a large time-critical project and we are having frequent crashes with the following symptoms, in spite of shutting down and re-starting our machines, and even re-installing. This is happening to both me and my assistant.

1) Crashes

2) Cursor disappears over any Articulate window such as Sync Animations so you can't use any of the controls, then crashes the program, though  cursor is visible over the PowerPoint

3) Small fuzzy annotations.exe icon appears on Windows taskbar.

4) Did I mention frequent crashes?

It's getting to where we cannot get our work done and we have a huge deadline right now.

Please help!

Thank you,

Ellen

As for the cursor, here is a method some of our people use which seems to work:

After the synch window opens, click the PowerPoint task in the taskbar. This seems to "kickstart" the cursor again, and it is then usable in the Synch Window.

I for one, only use the PowerPoint animation window to synch my animations. I get finer control, and can see exactly when things happen, instead of just "on click".

Version and Save As often. I usually save a new version of about every hour or so. Just in case you crash, you don't lose all your work.
