Annotations places all wrong!
Apr 26, 2013
Hi!
I have just started to getting to know Presenter and have come across a slight problem.
When I try to add annotations to my presentation they don't appear on the screen, if I make the real large you get a glimpse of them in the top left corner. See attached photo. And yeah, this annotation I clicked to position right above the text in the middle...
Has anybody else experienced this issue or have any tips for a solution for me?
Kind regard,
Hanna

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Hanna!
Do you have your PowerPoint page setup to something other then 4:3 On-screen Show, by any chance? If so, please follow the steps in the following article:
Slide dimensions supported in Presenter ‘09 - Articulate Presenter ‘09 Knowledge Base
You may also want to make sure your machine is using 96 DPI. rticulate Studio '09 is only supported with a system DPI setting of 96. If you're using a DPI setting other than 96, you'll encounter erratic behavior in the desktop applications and the published output. The following list provides some examples of unexpected behavior that you may encounter:
Hi Christine!
I tryed both your suggestions, but my settings where correct from the start. And the problem remains. I also triede to re-start my computer, and open several difrent and new presentations.
The weird thing is that the arrow or likwise apears so randomly far away from where I clearly saw the mouse and clicked. I attach a new file with you can se the arrows and where i added blue crosses for where on the screen I clicked.
Thank you for your help!
My best,
Hanna
Hi there Hanna!
Thanks for getting back to me :)
That is strange. Are you working with local presentation files?
Additional information regarding "Naming Files, Paths, and Namespaces" in Windows operating systems can be found in the following Microsoft article.
If you are working locally, please create a new Presenter presentation. In the new file, please try using annotations and see if the same thing happens.
Thanks again Hanna!
Christine
Try this annotating add-on on your Windows application which can combine annotation creation with MS PowerPoint very well that you are free to create, relocate and delte the added annotation shape with simplest steps.
