I was given a powerpoint file previously created by someone else using Articulate. The ppt file has 17 engage slides and 1 quizmaker slide. I don't have the engage files but I do have the 1 quizmaker file. I tried to publish the powerpoint as is and I got the AP6.exe error. I tried the troubleshooting suggestions and it didn't fix the error.
Can you have the other person send you the packaged file? You would then want to extract the file and make sure the file is located on your local drive and that your publishing to your local drive. If that doesn't work for you, try the steps here, though it sounds like you may have already tried them:
