AP6.exe has stopped working (Help needed)
Jan 05, 2012
Not sure if any of you has experienced this issue before. I'm trying to preview/publish a project I'm working on using Articulate Presenter and I keep getting the error message below. Just a simple powerpoint presentation with voice overs.
My anti-virus (Symantec /Cisco) is not blocking the program
I'm using a 32bit version of Articulate - Also using Microsof Office 2007
Using Windows 7 (64bit)
I have the latest Microsoft Runtime .NET 3.5.1
My Flash Player is updated v.10.1
I have uninstalled and reinstalled both Articulate and Microsoft Office and I'm still getting the same error. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hey Greg, welcome to Heroes!
If you haven't already done so, check out this article on troubleshooting the publish wizard:
http://www.articulate.com/support/presenter09/kb/?p=497
If you run through that and are still encountering the issue, please feel free to Create an Articulate Presenter Package and upload the zip file to us for review. One of our awesome support engineers will be happy to take a closer look and help you find a solution. You can do that here:

Please include the url to this thread when submitting your case, and feel free to leave your case number here so that I can follow it personally. Thanks!
Thanks Peter. I'll give that a try and let know if that works.
Sounds good, Greg. Eager to know what works for you!
Hey, Greg!
Just checking in- curious to know if you got this resolved, and if so, what did the trick...
Hi Peter,
I'm still experiencing the same issue. Sorry for the delayed response, it's just that I've been busy. I have another computer (laptop) with Articulate installed that I use to publish/preview contents and it works great. Not sure why I'm getting this error on my desktop computer. I guess I'll have to create a package and submit to the engineers since none of the troubleshooting methods worked.
Thanks for the follow-up.
Greg
I have been experiencing this same problem. I noticed that articulate was hanging up during the publish process on the same slide everytime. So, I investigated the slide to see what might be on the slide to cause the problem. I had a graphic that was not necessary, so instead of deleting it, I just deselected it's visibility in the PowerPoint selection pane. Once I actually deleted the objects (there were several graphics grouped), the problem was resolved. Articulate no longer crashed during the publish process.
Doesn't sound like this is exactly what's happening to Greg since he is able to publish the same project on his laptop without a problem, but I wanted to share my experience just in case!
Thanks for sharing, Jennifer! Glad to hear you were able to get the issue resolved.
Hi. Is this problem solved? When i try to open engage im getting that AP6 message
Hi Tiago,
This thread is a bit older, and as such I'm not certain that you're encountering the same issue or even using the same version of Engage as mentioned here. Could you share a bit more about what version/update you're using, the Windows, Office versions, and if have just recently encountered this error message? Also a screen capture of the error message would be helpful if you could attach that as well.
Hi Ashley,
Im using Windows7 and office 2007
This problem starts yesterday. First time ever.
This is in portuguese. Let me translate
AP6.exe stop running
A problem made that this program stops working correctly. The windows will close...
Hi Tiago! Are you seeing this with one file or with any file?
If it's across the software and multiple files, I would suggest a repair of your software.
You did not mention what version you are utilizing, but choose your version below for instruction:
Presenter '09
Presenter '13
It happen in multiple files.
Im using presenter 09, and i already repair the software
I would advise to work with our support team here then as they can check logs and identify the possible issue better.
