I recently purchased a Lenovo W520 ThinkPad Laptop running Windows 7 Professional with a 64 bit OS. I also have Office 2007 which runs in 32 bit mode. I need to install Articulate and need to know if it will run correctly on my PC with this configuration. Any pointers or war stories are appreciated.
My "day job" issued a new laptop to me - it is a Lenovo T520, running Windows 7 and MS Office 2010. I am having issues with the LicenseInstaller.exe failing during install.
Which version of Office are you installing? Microsoft released a 32-bit and a 64-bit version of Office 2010. Microsoft recommends installing the 32-bit version and Articulate Presenter '09 will only work with the 32-bit version. Presenter '09 also will not work with the Click To Run version of PowerPoint 2010. For more information, please review the following article:

Network admin worked on this issue with our techsupport. Turns out there was some crazy issue on the server side. Still not sure how that could have caused the problem with the installation, but my apps are installed and appear to be running okay.
There's also a known issue with Comodo, if you're running that by any chance. If you install Articulate Studio ‘09 on a computer usingComodo Internet Security, you may find that none of the Articulate applications will launch, and you may encounter the following error:
"InstallLicense.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close."
If you continue to experience the issue, I'd recommend submitting a case to our support team. They'll be happy to help you pinpoint and troubleshoot the issue. You can do that here:

I found this article: http://windows7center.com/news/fix-windows-7-data-corruption-issues-on-lenovo-and-hp-systems/. However, I am not running on the drivers they listed.
Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Hey Patrick,

You can correct this issue. Here’s how:

Am not using Comodo - Symantec AV is what we're using and wasn't an issue from May until last week on this PC

How do you know if you have a 64 bit or a 32 bit? I have a Windows 7 OS.
Hey Erin,
In PowerPoint / Presenter, go to File > Help, and the information you're looking for is on the right-hand side:
And here's a little more info about 32-bit vs 64-bit.
And to check your Windows system, go to the Start menu > Control Panel > System and Security > System.
