We have several users who are using Presenter '13 and are now unable to access the www. articulate.com web site unless they use another workstation without the Presenter software. Ping tests on workstations with software reveal 127.0.0.1 as the web address. Anyone know the fix for this?
I haven't run into any issues today and regularly visit www.articulate.com and have presenter '13 installed. Do you see an error message when accessing it or the site just doesn't load? Any more information you could share will help our web team track down the issue.
Thanks Ben - replying via email does not include attachments here in the forums so those two images didn't come through. You'll want to visit the actual thread page and use the "add attachment" button to post them here.
Thanks for the attachment. What version of IE are you using? You're able to get to community.articulate.com though, or are you replying here from a different system? Are you able to test in a different browser?
We are currently using IE9. I am accessing this website from a workstation that does not have the studio software installed. Google Chrome also did not work.

Thanks Ben - and you're able to confirm that accessing other websites outside the Articulate domain work normally? I can share this with our web team to see if they have any additional thoughts, but it's not something I can replicate on my own set up with IE, Chrome and Studio '13 and Storyline 1/2 installed.
Also - just an fyi, replying via email included your signature here. You're welcome to edit the post to update it if you'd like.
At present, the IP Address of www.articulate.com is 199.27.76.175. If your network is incorrectly redirecting this domain to 127.0.0.1, this indicates that a change has been made to either (1) your C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts file or (2) your proxy server to force this redirect. I would recommend checking with your Network Administrator to see if you can determine why this is happening.
Please let us know if you need anything else, and have a great day!
