Articulate Engage - Trial Mode Notice
May 31, 2011
I found a post in the old Articulate forum that is identical to my issue. That post can be viewed here: http://www.articulate.com/forums/articulate-engage/17809-articulate-engage-trial-mode-notice.html
Was there ever a resolution to this case?
Some of our clients have on occassion reported an error message while viewing several of our courses, the message is:
"This interaction was created with a trial version of Articulate Engage. ... Not Legal for Distribution."
We only build courses with licensed software - never used a trial. We have Articulate Studio 09. We can't replicate the issue and it happens infrequently, but it does crop up on occassion. It's embarrassing and creates additional work or cause for justification that we can't explain. What is the fix?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi JB and welcome to the Heroes,
With Studio '09, we removed all of the trial watermarks. So, you'll want to make sure that the content is published with the latest '09 software.
If they continue to have issues, have them send a screenshot to us and we'll see what we can do.
Thank you for the quick response, Brian. I will see if I can get a screenshot to forward.

Hi guys!
I've just encountered the same message that JB mentions above. I haven't heard anything from the client about it, but it's causing some issues for me.
A while ago, I ran the trial version of '09 on my new pc while wrapping up things on my old machine. I then moved the license for '09 across from old to new. I published a course during the trial stage, which might explain why I'm getting the message at the front of the engage component of it. However, I've sinced tried the following with out any luck:
I'd really like to avoid having to rebuild the engage file from scratch. Does anyone have other suggestions?
Paul
Hi Paul,
Would you mind submitting a support case so that we can take a closer look at the issue?
