Has anyone come across this issue. All my Articulate interfaces seem to be a little broken Presenter, Engage and Quizmaker. I can still use them, but in some cases the dialogue boxes are broken with bits sticking out in the wrong places and things not lining up exactly. In many cases text does not fit in the buttons. I am using an Alienware M17 with dual ATI Mobility and PowerPoint 2010.
Hi Paul! Often when stuff on the menus looks out of whack, it's because of the system's DPI setting. The Articulate products are designed to be used at 96DPI ...can you verify that's what your system is set to? Here's an article that shows how.
Yup! That works. Not all good news though. The Alienware has a very high resolution screen which I wanted when creating media, especially on Vegas Pro video editing and 3D graphics on 3DS Max. It really provides a very high quality image with smooth graduations to textured surfaces. So I pushed the DPI up to 120 so menus were easier to see, while still maintaining graphics quality. This works with most applications fine. Actually it's OK. I shall use the computer at 100 for a while and get used to what the Articulate menus say. Once used to it I shall switch back to 120. The menus are kinda' OK at 120. Thanks.
I hear ya Paul, and we welcome feature requests if you would like to suggest 120 DPI support. Also, you mentioned you might return to 120 dpi once you're used to the menus, etc. .... I wanted to make you aware that if you do that, you should switch back to 96dpi right before you publish, else certain elements of your published course might end up looking skewed or misplaced.
