Recipients of my Articulate packages are unable to publish or preview or view any Flash videos or quizzes. I thought that was the whole point of sending a package. It's the same whether I send the package by email or upload to a different location. What can I do?
I presume they have unzipped the folder? Sometimes quizes and flas videos do not get packaged into the package if they are stored on shared drives. I normally check all assets are in place before sending.
There is also a problem if it is a second generation package, all things do not get packaged
Yes, they unzipped the folder. It's a first generation package. I create the package and then email it to another person. I've checked to make sure the ppta and quiz files are there. They unzip it. They can open the PPT, but they can't publish or preview.
I made the suggestion to try opening the ppta a couple hours ago and I'm waiting on those results. No message, absolutely no response when they click Publish.
I would verify that they are Right Clicking the Zipped package and choosing EXTRACT ALL. Many people tell me they have extracted the files when all they did was Double click the folder which does not Extract fully.
They are extracting all. It's four different people in different locations that are having these problems, so I doubt it's a problem with their install.
At present, no. I have Articulate on my machine, but right now it's unavailable. I'm using the spare machine and tried downloading another trial, but apparently you can't uninstall and reinstall another trial after one expires.
I got access to Articulate and tried to replicate the issue. It's working fine for me, so I will check with everyone to make sure they are downloading the packages correctly.

have they tried double clicking the ppta file instead to open the project?
Do they get any messages when they try to publish?

Did you have a macro in the file, sometimes this can invoke ppt security and can disable some of the features
There is no difference when opening the ppta. It auto opens the pptx and the same problems exist.
I don't know. What's a macro?
they would get a security warning under the ribbon. The problem is likely their installation of articulate rather that the package

Also, I've tried uploading a published file and then I can't even view the Articulate stuff in the player. The dial just goes around forever.
Are you able to replicate their issue by unzipping the package and trying to access it? You may need to consider submitting a case.
