Articulate presenter - Add video of high resolution

Oct 09, 2016

Hey,

I am a newbie in the use of Articulate.

The e-learning courses I will create will consist for a large part out screencasts. These screencasts will be taken in a fairly high resolution (1280*1024 for example).I tried a few settings in Articulate presenter, but every time the video is shown in a small window, resulting in a poor viewing quality. The details a way to small.

Is there a setting that would not reduce the size of the window? I tried to include the video with the parameter “Show video” with the settings “In slide” as well as “In new browser window”. In both cases the result is not good enough to be used in a training.

Ideally I would like to have a new window pupping up that will be resized taking in account the resolution of the shown video this including video controls.

Thanks for any ideas that you might have.

Chris

Hi Chris,

What are you using for your player and browser settings as well? If you set the video to launch in a new window, you should be able to take control of the entire browser size and allow it to fit the screen. There isn't a true "full screen" option for the set up within Presenter's slide size and view.

Ashley,

Thanks for you reply.

I have been playing around with settings under "Add Slide Video from File" window. I selected "Show video" "In a new browser".

I also changed the settings you suggested (button Other). There I selected "Browers size" "Resize browser to fill screen", "Player size" "Scale player to fill browser window", I selected ""Lauch player in new window" and selected "Allow user to resize window".

And at the moment of Publishing I also changed the Quality. I told the system to export in highest quality.

And that did the trick. The video is still not optimal, this due to the fact that I cannot resize the video screen resulting in small video screen, but it is good enough.

Again thanks for your ideas.

Chris
