and followed the steps and rebooted . Then we tried to launch PPT and nothing happens. When we go to shut the machine down we get a popup asking if we want to shut down PPT?
I get the same error message but very randomly. My latest issue is Powerpoint won't recognize the add-in at all. I've tried adding the add-in in Powerpoint options but it doesn't seem to think Articulate is "out there". I tried the link in Justin's 4/5 response but it requested an exe. file before it would proceed. I became confused because Articulate has many exe. files and I wasn't sure which one it wanted .. Presenter? Engage? .. which?. I looked for the Installer in my confirmation link and couldn't find anything like that in the email. Any suggestions ? I have an install disk with '09 on it .. can I "just" insert and reinstall the entire suite and use my confirmation codes to activate if necessary?
Justin .. not sure you were responding to my post or not but I tried your link and that is what prompted my post .. I've copied a key piece from my original post:

Brian, Thanks for the new link. While waiting for responses I opened Engage as a separate program and my interactions displayed and previewed just fine. Is it possible the problem I'm experiencing is with PowerPoint and not Articulate? I checked for add ins and the Presenter .dll link is showing up as an active add in .. so I'm a bit confused as to why I can't preview or publish from PowerPoint. I've run the Office repair routine at least twice and it didn't solve the problem . Any ideas or would you still suggest I re-install the Articulate Suite.
The first thing you should do, as outlined in that article is to download the latest installer and install the software. If it prompts you to repair, then repair the installation restart you computer and see how it goes. If it simply wants to upgrade then do that and restart your computer. After performing that initial step then you could go through the rest of the KB article.
The fact that it is prompting you to locate an EXE file is a symptom that a file is missing that is required to repair that installation. That's why we're telling you to download a new installer.
I think Articulate is great and I think this forum is the best ever and you guys are always prompt to answer .. that said .. I can use Articulate and I can use Powerpoint, all quite well, but I'm not a computer whiz or an IT person .. you keep referring to the "Installer" .. "download the installer" .. I don't know what that is :( so I don't know what to look for.

I would make sure that everything is enabled in PowerPoint and then follow the steps outlined here:

I would disable any antivirus applications before applying the steps noted above.

Hi Gordon,
It's likely the version of the software on the disk is an old version. Thus, I'd recommend downloading the latest installer by using the link below:
http://www.articulate.com/downloads/freetrial-step1.aspx
After filling out your information, you'll arrive at a page that has a link to the full installer. Just download it & install the software.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
