Articulate Presenter embedded web video default language tags

Mar 12, 2021

I am using Articulate Presenter 360 to embed videos in a PowerPoint file. The video is hosted on a Brightcove server and contains multiple language caption files. I would like to have the default language I specify show in the captions (we publish the PowerPoint once for each language, i.e. French, Japanese, Spanish, English, etc.) I would like the Japanese version of the PowerPoint to show the Japanese captions by default. Reading the Brightcove forums, I should be able to do this in the <iFrame> tag by adding this attribute: langugage="ja-JP". However, when I add this tag, and publish, the video still shows the English captions. When I inspect the Articulate Presenter-generated HTML code, it shows the video being embedded with the <video> tag, and no language attribute (i.e. lang or language) is added to specify ja-JP, so it's no wonder it doesn't work. I have also tried setting the language of my Chrome browser to Japanese, but no luck there either. Is this not possible in Articulate Presenter for web videos? Specifying which caption language to display? If it's possible, how is this done? Thank you.
