Articulate Presenter Not Detected

Jan 22, 2021

My company just updated my Articulate software from Studio 13 to Articulate 360. I loved 13 and never had any issues.  I really expected more from 360.  It would be nice if this software was consistent but if I’m not getting the error “Articulate Presenter not detected” I’m getting one that says it’s been disabled.  Almost to the point where it doesn’t even allow me to use PowerPoint at all.  Currently, I have to work from home using remote access and am wondering if it’s a network issue.  Why is 360 doing this when 13 worked great?  I have uninstalled it, restarted, reinstalled, and restarted.  When I go into PowerPoint options, into the add-ins, I notice it says COM add-ins.  What does this mean, could it be affecting my capability to use the software off the network?  Why hasn’t there been a fix for this because it looks like an ongoing issue.  Very disappointed thus far.  Thank you.

Hi there, Jill!

I'm so sorry to hear this. I've seen a few cases of the "Failed to Detect Articulate Presenter Process" error, where these steps helped resolve it:

Note: You'll need admin privileges to complete each step, so we may need to bring your IT team to the table.
