Articulate Studio 13 and Moodle 1.9

Feb 02, 2014

Hello to everybody,

we are developing course in Articulate Studio 13 for client which has Moodle 1.9 as LMS. Course will be installed on that LMS. We are testing SCORM presentations on Moodle 1.9. and it looks all fine.

Did you have case like this? And please, share your experience... what could go wrong?

Thanks,

Haris

Hi Haris, and welcome to the forums.

The only issue I had when running Articulate Studio on moodle 1.9 was when we migrated to Internet Explorer 9 (from 7). Courses that had Engage interactions didn't track in the LMS unless we where running in compatibility mode.... That was Studio'09 though.

We're now running moodle 2.1 with compatibility mode for IE9. and Studio13. No issues yet.

Moodle 1.9 is no longer supported but I'd also check to make sure they aren't running a really old version of Moodle 1.9 like 1.9.8 - if they are using anything earlier than 1.9.8 then SCORM isn't going to be very reliable and you will likely have a lot of support issues.

Also - Moodle 1.9 doesn't support mobile devices very well - if you have any users with iPad's or Android devices that want to use Moodle then you will have a range of different issues.

Ideally your client should be running 2.6 and have a regular upgrade schedule planned to upgrade to a major supported release at least every 18 months.
