Articulate Studio '13 and Success Factor (SF) LMS

Apr 07, 2016

Dear Community,
our Company rolled out SF LMS last October and we are struggling since then with our e-learnings (published in SCORM2004 2nd or 4th Edition, SCORM1.2).

Here is the first of the issues we Encounter (more to come) :-(

Sometimes uploading the Content to SF LMS is impossible with 2nd or 4th Edition but it works when we publish with SCORM1.2. Sometimes it is the other way round.
We don't Change one Thing in the Content, only publish with another SCORM.

Does anyone in the community have any experience with Success Factor LMS?
Thanks for your Feedback.

Hi Magaly,

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you've encountered - but I"m not incredibly familiar with SuccessFactors as an LMS. When it doesn't work - what happens? You're unable to upload it or the content doesn't run once you've uploaded?Have you reached out to the SuccessFactors team to see if there is a particular way you should be publishing SCORM 1.2 vs. SCORM 2004?

You could also look at the following troubleshooting steps in this article, including testing it at SCORM Cloud which is an industry standard for LMS testing.

Dear Ashley,

thanks a lot for your prompt reply.

In this case, we are unable to upload the file and have to Change the Publishing from Scorm 2004 to Scorm 1.2. When it doesn't work with Scorm 1.2 we then Change to Scorm 2004. If we are lucky, we can upload successfully.

SuccessFactors say, this is due to the fact that Articulate is not compatible with SuccessFactors. Have you ever heard about compatibility issues with LMS Platforms?

I tested on the SCORM Cloud. I had not issue. I can redo the test of course and follow the ticket procedure mentioned in the article mentioned above.

Thx. BR,

Hi Magaly,

I've heard a number of users here mentioned using Success Factors as their LMS, so I don't think that saying it's not compatible is an accurate statement from them.  A previous thread mentioned that SuccessFactors didn't allow for a zipped file, but I don't know how that user resolved it. You could reach out to them using the "contact me" button on their profile to see if they're able to share the specifics with you.

Did they provide you with a set of information about what is compatible? Perhaps they need it published and uploaded in a particular way? I'll have to defer to the community or your SuccessFactors team, as it's outside my area of expertise.
