Articulate Studio on Mac using Windows Parallels.

Jul 09, 2015

Hi there. Can you please help me! I'm using Mac and have purchased Articulate Studio 13. I have realised in order to use it on my Mac, I needed to purchase Parallels and Window's to use this. I have 2 issues:

1. Now that I have purchased these 3 items, my pptx document constantly freezes a minute or two after opening the file and clicking on 'articulate' tab in the ribbon. I can't record, import audio, preview - nothing!

2. When I open the PowerPoint document, I'm prompted to 'continue with my trial copy of Articulate' and to key in my activation code, but for the life of me, I can't find my activation code - can you please guide me to where I would find this please?

Thanks so much, in advanced!

Hi Rebecca,

I'm sorry to hear about the issues you've run into getting started with Presenter. That's definitely not the way we want you to start!

You'll want to confirm that you're working on local project files as described here- and then adhere to these best practices for working on a Mac.

Also, it's possibly something occurred during the installation, so I'd go through the steps here.

If you don't have you're activation code handy (it was likely in your email with the download link for the software) just reach out to our support team here and they'll be happy to help!

Please let us know if you need anything else.

Hi Ashley!

Thanks so much for your prompt reply!

My activation code has now been corrected, THANK YOU!

For my first issue, I've located Studio 13 on my Windows through Parallels, once I click on 'Run as Administrator' I'm prompted if I want to run this program, I click 'yes', the system then processes for 2 seconds, and then stops. Does it sound to you that I need to uninstall Windows, Parallels and Studio 13 then start again?

Thanks! Rebecca
