Articulate Tab Disappeard and Normal Fix Not Working
Aug 09, 2012
Hello,
I downloaded the program and installed Presenter because I need this program for a new job. The Articulate tab was in PowerPoint. I was using it, but now when I open PowerPoint the Articulate tab isn't there. I've tried reinstalling the program, restarting PowerPoint and my computer. I've even tried the fix you suggested in the blog but it doesn't seem to apply. There is nothing disabled in the Enable disable items in PowerPoint and if I try to add the ribbon.dll in the COM Add-Ins nothing changes and it doesn't show up. There is only Send to Bluetooth and Adobe PDF maker in that box. I'm using windows 7 and PowerPoint 2007. I really need to get this working ASAP. Any suggestions.

Did you click on the drop-down arrow at the bottom of the PowerPoint Options window, Next to the word Manage: and above the OK/Cancel buttons.
Select "COM Add-ins" and click the Go button.
Make sure that the Articulate Presenter Communicator and the Articulate Presenter Ribbon both have check marks.
Click OK.

Yes, and neither are there. Like I mentioned above, this normal fix is not working because they are not in the box. I've tried reinstalling the program, restarting PowerPoint and my computer. There is nothing disabled in the Enable disable items in PowerPoint also and if I try to add the ribbon.dll in the Com Add-Ins nothing changes and it doesn't show up. There is only "Send to Bluetooth and Adobe PDF maker" in that box.
Please help.
Hi Karen,
Sorry for the trouble. If none of the steps in this article are resolving the issue, I'd encourage you to contact our support team, and they'll be able to help you get up and running again.
Hi Karen.
I would go through these steps and follow the instructions on what to do if you are not an administrator.
Hi Guys I'm still having a problem with getting the Artiuclate 09 Tab to stay in PowerPoint. The normal fix doesn't work because the Artiulcate add ons are not listed in the Disabled Addons. I have to reinstall Presentor 09 everytime I open PowerPoint to work with the Artiuclate program. I've gone through all your community to find an answer and I've done everything suggested includng the not selecting certain features in the Active X settings. When the tab isn't working there is no mention of the Artiuclate add ons anywere in PowerPoint at all even under Disabled. I'm using it with PowerPoint 2007. Any other ideas on what I can do so I don't have to reinstal 09 everytime.
Hi Karen!
I see where you filed a support case (#00291155) on this before as well, but we never heard anything back.
Did you try the solution that was provided to you?
Based on your continued issue with this functionality, I would advise that solution as well.
