I am using Studio 13 on a Mac through Parallels. I have Windows 7 and the latest Parallels and Office 2013.
When I launch the audio editor, it may or may not work. If it doesn't load in the first 20 secs or so the entire thing hangs and I have to kill the instance from task manager. Then I have to close Windows, close Parallels, and restart it again to try again until I can get it to work.
OK, thanks. The first step is to make sure that shared options are turned off in Parallels and then uninstall and reinstall studio. I'm doing that on two Mac systems now. If it doesn't crash on the same presentation after that, then we will know it was the shared folder options. Will post the result here too.
Well, I just sent a not to Wilbert. I isolated the Windows Virtual Machine from the Mac in Parallels to make sure no sharing of folders was on. Uninstalled and reinstalled and tweaked things and seem to have it working on 1 of the two machines, even though I have duplicated the Parallels setup on both. I still have to do more testing on the one machine to see if it crashes. So we'll see.
OK, if your install starts to act up when running on Parallels, make sure all the sharing options are turned off. uninstall Articulate, then uninstall Office and reboot.

Hi George!
In searching your latest issue, I came across this previous thread. Just wanted to link the two for any others that may run across this thread.
Glad to hear that you have reached out to support

Perhaps uninstalling and reinstalling Office helps....
I did this last night:
Uninstalled Articulate
Uninstalled Office 13
Rebooted everything
Reinstalled Office
Reinstalled Articulate
And it seems to be OK for now. It did open the presentation but I have totest it more.

OK, if your install starts to act up when running on Parallels, make sure all the sharing options are turned off. uninstall Articulate, then uninstall Office and reboot.
Then reinstall office and reinstall Articulate.
So far that is working!
Thanks for continuing to share George
