Audio editor display inaccurate

I do a lot of narration in PPT/Presenter and, in the development process, have to to a fair amount of audio editing. I've noticed that the audio editor does not accurately display the audio. That is, there are flatlines that contain audio and waves that have no audio. This is very frustrating when trying to edit a sentence or phrase without having to rerecord an entire slide. This is at max zoom. I have also noticed that the audio editor in Engage seems to display much better than in Presenter.

Hi Jim,
I haven't noticed this - but don't do a lot of audio editing either, so I'd be curious to take a look at a file. Do you hear anything when viewing those sections where there should be audio or should not be audio? Can you confirm that you're working on local project files as detailed here?
Yes working locally as recommended. I could copy a few slides out of a presentation, package it, and send it. Would I do that as an attachment here or by some other link?
Hi Jim,
Yup - you can attach it here using the "add attachment" button at the bottom of the reply window.
I pulled three slides out of the presentation with the intent to submit it here. But when I checked the audio editor on this small file, everything looked fine. This leads me to believe that the problem surfaces as presentations get larger. In this case, the main file is 87 slides, and it takes forever (about five minutes actually) for the audio editor to load and display. I'm not going to attempt to attach the package for that, as it is about 185 MB. So for now I guess I'll just live with it, but please pass this issue on to the appropriate tech folks. Thanks.
Hi Jim,
You mentioned originally that the wave length/form looks off - but if there is also an issue with loading the audio or the editor taking a while to open it may be an issue of overall file size and system memory. Have you tried to open it after rebooting Presenter to help clear out the memory issues?
If you'd prefer to not load up the entire file here in the forums you can also send it along here.
