Audio files missing

Jun 12, 2012

Hello all,

This will now be my third time re-doing my audio narration. When I conduct the narration, for some reason when I close out and go back in to the presentation, all of my audio files are missing. I publised the files on my desktop and the course ran fine. However, when I went back to audio editor, the audio files were gone. This is the first time I have encountered this issue.

Can anyone tell me why this is happening and provide a resoultion?

Thanks,

Vivian

Hi Justin,

Thank you for the information. I did see where there were several files that had .old-ppta files. I followed the instructions to restore my audio files. I also did a "Save As" and moved the pptx and ppta in a new folder. I unzipped the files which shows my Engage files, the zipped folder, and the pptx and ppta files. However, when I go back into the pptx file, audio editor, the audio files are there. I will record a slide and it all looks fine. When I publish, I lose the audio files all over again. It keeps creating the old.ppta file.

Do I need to remove the zipped file from the folder. I am not sure why it keeps creating the old-ppta file. I can see where the files are being restored but when I return to recording, publishing and going back into audio editor - my files go missing each time.  Help!?
