Audio in PPT
Jun 27, 2012
I have inherited a production that appears to have been created by linking audio to a slide in PowerPoint and exporting via Articulate. I have never seen this before but I presume that Articulate somehow handles this?
The problem I have is that the links between the slides and the audio are broken (due to the way to the production was archived I presume). I appear to have audio files but no way to connect the audio to slide (other than listening to the finished production and finding the audio in the pile (this thing has 150 slides), then reconnecting.
Is there anyway to find out what the original linkage was?

Hi Brian,
I'm not quite sure I'm following what's going on. If you only have separate audio files that weren't recorded within Presenter, it sounds like you may have to import those files back into Presenter. Are you able to send us the files so we can take a look for ourselves? Please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:
Send to Articulate Presenter Package – Articulate Presenter ’09 Help
Upload the resulting zip file from your computer to our server using this upload form:

Thanks!
I am not totally sure what is happening either but I think the audio files were never imported to Presenter but were linked in Powerpoint.
I was presuming that Presenter would export them from there. Does it do this?
Hi Brian,
Sorry for not getting back to you sooner. Basically, linked audio isn't supported in Presenter. The audio needs to be imported via Presenter. I know you mentioned you have the files but were hoping to avoid the tedious task of reconnecting them all, but that may be your only option from what I understand. This may be of help to speed things up, though.
It turns out the original product was done in Adobe Presenter -- somebody had played around in Articulate Presenter after the production was finished - so it sort of looked like Articulate was involved.
We have abandoned the project -- sorry for the red herring posting.
Thanks for updating
