Audio locking up... again

This is a flashback to a problem I've been having across several different ecourses for the past six months, in which, while recording audio, the program and PPT get locked up, in most instances causing loss of work and having to rerecord slides. Yes I am working from my local hard drive; yes I have reinstalled; yes I have repaired. Most recent was on Friday after repeated lockups the day before. Today it locked up on me again. Studio 13, Office 2010, Windows 7 Enterprise.

Hi Jim, I realize that ultimately the issue should be fixed regarding recording your audio in Articulate, but I'm curious if you've tried using any other products for recording audio, such as Audacity, which is a great free audio recording product. And then just taking that audio and importing it into Presenter? I've always used Audacity for audio personally, and have yet to try Presenter for audio recording.
