Backwards Flash Compatibility with Presenter Courses

Feb 27, 2013

Has anyone else experienced an issue where your Presenter course was built to an older version of flash (say flash 10) and your viewers now have the latest and greatest flash player 11.4.4 and the interactions are getting stuck and won't play?

I have been all over Adobe's site and can find nothing that shows any backward compatibility issues and how to rectify them.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Jennifer. Welcome to E-Learning Heroes,

I haven't personally encountered this issue, but if this is happening it's certainly something we want to resolve. What happens when the content is viewed? Are users receiving an error message, or blank page, or is Flash crashing?

Are you able to share a link to the presentation so I can check it out on my end?

Flash is showing the player and the presentation plays up until it reaches an interactions. Then they see the player and a loading symbol and the course never moves forward.

Large number of users having this issue .

I have to check my companies policy on sharing information out side the business. So i'll have to get back to you on the link.
