Blurry Images - Again

Dec 04, 2018

Can presenter 360 display images in their "real" resolution or are they always compressed?  Screenshots displayed in Presenter 13 are always fuzzy even when following the best practices.  If 360 can't, is it possible to get a copy of presenter 9?  Apparently version that did not decide what I wanted to do.  It's very frustrating and embarrassing to not be able to deliver the image quality that my client is looking for.  I see the same complaint on all of your authoring products and it looks like it must be common code.  It also looks like it has been an issue for years and I understand how development priorities work.  If there is never going to be a fix, or not for years, can you please let me know?  Thank you.

In both Presenter '13 and 360, you can publish images without compression.

When you open the publishing page, look under Properties. You'll see "Quality: Optimized for standard delivery." Open that menu, and you'll see settings for video, audio, and image quality.

The default for image quality is 80%; change it to 100% and then publish.

I hope that helps!

Hi Peter,

Is there any scaling of your images occurring in Presenter 360? That could cause some of the blurriness you're seeing. Take a look at this article for some best practices on working with images (although it's noted as Storyline the same tips apply).

If you're still running into trouble with your images, it would help to take a look at what you're seeing. Can you share a copy of the original image and create a Presenter package to share with our Support Team?

Hello Ketaki and welcome to E-Learning Heroes. 😊

Thanks for reaching out and sharing that you're experiencing issues in Chrome.

With your permission, I'd like you to share your project file with our support engineers to investigate what's happening. You can share it privately by uploading it here. It will be deleted when troubleshooting is complete.
