Blurry screenshots when publishing a video

Oct 09, 2020

Hi Articulate!

I recently created a video using Presenter/Studio 360 (Articulate tab in PowerPoint)
When I publish it, I put the quality to the highest level as well as the image quality.

Unfortunately, the screenshots we used seem to be extremely blurry when published.
Interestingly enough, other images and visuals seem just fine -- perhaps it's easier to spot as there is text in screenshots?

Note :  I received confirmation that we don't compress when putting it on our media server/network, so we couldn't pinpoint why this happened.

My question :
- any thoughts or ideas on how to increase quality of screenshots?
- anything we can do differently when publishing or uploading the video to our network?

Obviously screenshots are important when learning a new software/program, so it's not ideal for it to be too blurry to read.

Thank you, have a great day :)

Hi Stephanie,

Thanks for sharing what you're experiencing when publishing your course! Are you only experiencing blurry screenshots when you publish to video, or do you see these issues in other formats as well?

If you find yourself adjusting the original image heavily after importing, that may cause issues with the quality as well.

Are you comfortable with sharing your .story file or your screenshots for testing? You can share them privately with our support engineers. They'll do some testing and reply back with some helpful tips!
