Border around image automatically disappears (partially)

Sep 20, 2011

Hello all,

In a ppt presentation, I have imported an image. I then added a border around that image.

When my ppt presentation is published, the border partially disappears.

(See ppt file & screenshot in attached folder)

Would anyone know of a solution?

Hi Brian,

Following-up on your suggestions, I ran a few tests. Unfortunately, I am unable to get a positive result.

1) Possible issue with the particular image (png): I added a border to a random png I found on the web. Results were negative.

2) Converting the original image (png) into a jpg > importing it into ppt > adding a border (1/4pt) = negative result

Please see my documents within the attached folder.

Would you have any further ideas?

Hey Terry,

The issue above appeared to be specific to PowerPoint 2003. It was tested in PowerPoint versions 2007 and 2010 and the border did not cut-off when published.

In PowerPoint 2003, save the image as a PNG (right-click image with border then “Save As Picture” > PNG). Then delete the original image and replace it with the PNG one. The borders should come up properly.

If not, feel free to submit your own case, and someone will be happy to assist you.
