Branching forward only after all hyperlinks on slide are clicked

Dec 02, 2015

Hello all! This may be more of a Powerpoint question, but I thought there would maybe be a way to accomplish what I need to using Presenter or Engage.

I have a slide with a organizational chart on it, and I have hyperlinked each of the boxes in the chart to a separate slide with information on that department. Then, on each separate slide, the user will click a hyperlinked button to return to the initial screen with the organizational chart.

Now, what I want to do is require the user to view each hyperlinked box before they can progress to the next section of the course (to the slides after the individual slides for each department). Is there a way to activate a branch or button forward only after all the links have been clicked/viewed?

Any tips or ideas would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Hi Emma!

You could most certainly do this with an Engage Interaction within your Presenter course.

When course navigation is Restricted in Articulate Presenter '13, learners won't be able to advance past an embedded interaction until it's complete. An interaction is considered complete when learners reach the last step of the interaction.

You can control the way the previous/next buttons work as well.
