Sometimes text which is underlined in PowerPoint becomes 'broken'
when published. Below are screengrabs of the original PowerPoint and the published output.
I've tried recreating the problem slides / text boxes,
sometimes it works but sometimes I just cannot fix it!
Hi Louise - often that problem is caused by hidden formatting that might be leftover from text that you pasted in from elsewhere. You could try this: either delete & re-create the textbox.... or ..... copy the text from the text box, paste it into Notepad, and then copy/paste it from Notepad back into the textbox. (This strips out any of the hidden formatting.)

Hi Louise,
I seem to remember a post in the old forums about this - it's just a "feature".
I no longer use underlining because of this, sad but true.

If nothing else works, you could always just draw a line under the words.
**NOTE - never do this using white Tippex - it's a real pain to get off the screen.......
Yours helpfully.

Hehe! I know - with all the Tippex, highlighter marks and biro scribblings on my screen, I can barely see what I'm doing!
Thanks Jeanette, I'll try the Notepad technique and see if that helps.
