Browser Inkonsistence?
Oct 18, 2012
Hi,
after Tin-Can export and import in LMS (Scorm-Cloud) i noticed, that the result in launching the course in the Scorm-Cloud with different Browsers (Chrome and FF) is different. (no changes in settings made in the LMS, the Scorm Cloud guys said this is authoring tool settings)
The result in FF is like intended, player fits in browser window, which is like defined storysize plus player size.
But in chrome there is a white margin left and right of the course ( i think also in IE)
Is this a bug?And how can i fix the settings so that thee is no address bar? (is the function 'display window without browser controls' not working?)

Here is the Chrome Window in original Size (story Size was 1000px x 563px)
Here is the FF Version.
Good Afternoon, Simon.
Would you mind creating an Articulate package of your course, and then uploading the zip file via a support case so that we can take a look? Thanks!
Hello Justin,
zhx for answer, i've just made a support case with the package. Hope the upload has worked.
Good Morning, Simon.
I see that Vira has taken ownership of your case, and I will keep an eye on it as well. Thanks!
Hi Justin, is there some news about the issue?
Good Morning, Simon.
I see that Vira has been able to reproduce this issue in Google Chrome on SCORM Cloud, and I also see that she has escalated this issue to the Articulate Quality Assurance Team for their review. I don't have any updates from QA yet, but we will certainly keep you informed as we do.
Please let us know if you need anything else. Thanks!
thx for the answer
Hi there- was there any resolution for this case? I'm experiencing the same issue: my client needs the program to work on an iPad through a Safari browser window, but wants the tool-bars (address bar, tabs, etc) to go away... the "Player --> other --> display window with no browser controls" checkbox does absolutely nothing. Help!
Curtis
Good Morning Curtis, and welcome to Heroes!
Although Simon's issue has been assigned to the Articulate Quality Assurance Team for further analysis, your problem is slightly different.
Mobile Safari in the iPad does not allow for opening a pop-up mini window as desktop browsers do, and only allows opening in a new tab. Therefore, we are unable to remove browser controls as we are with Desktop browsers. This is a limitation imposed by Mobile Safari on the iPad.
Please let us know if you need anything else, and have a great day!
