Callouts and blocks not sizing

Nov 14, 2011

Hello Everyone,

I am experiencing problems with articulate and need assistance please.  When I publish my module the callout and green block disappears.  If I then uninstall Articulate and reinstalls it then it works – it has happened several times.

This is what it looks like with the error (balloon too small):

This is what it's supposed to look like (ignore the text for now - separate issue):

Any suggestions?

Compliments of the season for 2012.

I had to uninstall and reinstall Articulate because of the callout problem thatthe callout doesn’t display, wanted to reinstall to see if the error wheninstalling last time occurred again, and it did, I think this is the problem Iam having with Articulate and the reason why it still crashes on me. If Iignore then it installs further.

I have attached the error pic below, does anyone know what might cause this?

Thanks

Peter Anderson

Hi David,

I wonder if it might have to do with administrator restrictions. See if performing the following steps helps:

1)  Close PowerPoint if it is running.

2)  Based on your version of PowerPoint, navigate to the following directory:

     POWERPOINT 2010:

        32-bit Windows:

        C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14

        64-bit Windows:

        C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14

     POWERPOINT 2007:

        32-bit Windows:

        C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12

        64-bit Windows:

        C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12

     POWERPOINT 2003:

        32-bit Windows:

        C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11

        64-bit Windows:

        C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\OFFICE11

     POWERPOINT 2000:

        32-bit Windows:

        C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office

        64-bit Windows:

        C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office

3)  Based on your version of Microsoft Windows, do the following:

     Windows 7 / Vista:

Right-click the POWERPNT.EXE file, and select "Run as administrator".

     Windows XP / 2000:

Hold down the SHIFT key, right-click the POWERPNT.EXE file, select "Run as", and enter the user name / password for an administrator account.

4)  Test your software, and let us know if it works as expected.
