I started with Studio '09 and then jumped to Storyline 1. Now I have a client who has Studio '13 and wants me to work in that. I only have one computer. Can they both run on one computer or do I have to lose '09? I would have no way of recovering it if a client wanted that.
While you can have both Storyline 1 and Storyline 2 installed at the same time on the same computer, you can only have Studio 09 or Studio 13 (not both) installed at one time on the same computer.
When you need to work in Studio 09, you can uninstall Studio 13 and reinstall 09, then vice versa to get back to Studio 13. It should only take about 5-10 minutes.
Steve is correct - that Studio 09 and Studio '13 cannot be installed together. You can have Storyline 1/2 and Studio 09 or Studio 13 all on the same system. In my set up I have SL1/2 and Studio '13 on Windows 8 and then Studio 09 in a virtual machine of Windows 7. Also, I thought you may find this document helpful if you're looking at switching to Studio '13.
