Can I make the notes font bigger?

Aug 18, 2011

Hi,

I just got feedback from my test users that the font in the notes is too small.  Is there a way to make it bigger?

If not, any suggestions for how to use animations or hyperlinks to provide pop-up text boxes?  I have read many of the existing Articulate blogs about both and have learned how to use them, but the problem is my video - I have a presenter clip for each slide, embedded in the presenter panel.  I want users  to be able to open or close the notes text box without interruption to the video - I don't want them to have to start over with the video just because they click on something.

I am currently playing with text hotspots in Snagit, but I don't think they embed correctly in PPT or Articulate files - but if anyone knows how to do that, please let me know!

Thanks

Hi there Sorcha - yep, you can format your notes with different fonts, sizes, colors, and even use other formatting like bullets and numbering. You can select & edit some of these changes in the PowerPoint notes pane that appears below your slide, but to really get a better look at what you're doing, it's easier if you switch to PowerPoint's Notes page and make the changes there. (Click View > Notes Page). When you're finished formatting your notes, click View > Normal to go back to the regular view.

When you publish your course, the formatting will show up in the Notes panel in your sidebar and/or the Notes button in the lower-right corner of you player, whichever you've enabled for your course.

On a related note, here's a blog post on formatting slide notes in Articulate Presenter that you might find helpful.
