can't browse to add attachments

I have just changed laptops and have moved articulate over to the new computer.  I am trying to update a previously produced course - I want to delete the attachments I had, and add new ones.  I don't have the option of 'browse' to locate the attachments.  I can select 'link' but the '...' button won't work. Any ideas please?

(by the way I can't cut/paste the link in, instead, as the document is contained within another of our corporate systems and i don't know how to locate its link directly so would have been easier to browse to the location).

Hi Jenny,

Welcome to E-Learning Heroes!

It may be due to permissions on the new laptop, or it may have something to do with the project file location. 

Please make sure that you're working with local project files.

  • Work on your local drive (your C: drive). Working on a network drive or a USB drive can cause erratic behavior, including file corruption, loss of audio, and other unexpected behavior. 
  • You should also make sure the directory path to your project files and your published output is less than 260 characters (for example C:\Articulate).
  • Avoid using special characters, accents or symbols in your file names (this includes spaces and underscores).

If you've confirmed you're working locally, or if you move your project to your local hard drive and still have trouble, it might help to run a quick repair on the software:
