can't edit audio

Aug 07, 2015

All of a sudden today I was no longer able to edit audio in the editor; that is, I could not select a section of the waveform to edit or delete it. I am working off my local hard drive. I'm thinking that this may be fixed with the new upgrade available, which I've already downloaded and am awaiting installation on. If anyone knows anything further, please advise. Thanks.

Hi, Jim -- So sorry to hear you are having issues but there are a few general trouble shooting steps we can try to rule out some common issues. Thank you for confirming that you are working locally

If issue persist after you have downloaded the latest update, please also see this information on Unexpected or Erratic Behavior in Articulate Studio '13, as well as How to Repair Articulate Studio '13

Please let me know if that helps, and you are welcome to attach your file here or a sample so that we can take a look if issues persist.

In addition to the problem originally mentioned in this thread, I noticed several instances in which there was a shift backward in the audio relative to the starter marker, meaning that the beginning of the audio for a slide appeared at the end of the previous slide, causing the audio to abuptly start on the following and with an obvious truncation at the beginning of the slide audio. At least now following reinstallation I can select and drag a marker and select a range of audio to easily fix.
