Welcome to E-Learning Heroes, Kathleen!

Was the audio imported through Presenter, or PowerPoint? Also, what format is the audio file (.WAV, .MP3, etc.)?

If you haven't seen it already, you may want to take a look at our tutorial on importing audio (it also provides helpful information about supported audio file types):

The audio tutorial covers importing audio narration for the particular slide. That's not what I'm doing. The audio is embedded in the power point and when the user clicks on the speaker button in the published file, nothing happens.

Could it be the file fromat - Windows Media Audio file? Or do I need to change it to play it from a link?

Thanks,

Kathy

Good morning Kathy,

The only PowerPoint audio that is supported in Presenter is through SlideShow > Record Narration. If you don't have access to the original audio file and the audio was embedded in PowerPoint, you would need to use a third-party tool to export the other PowerPoint audio and then re-insert that into Presenter

If you need any additional help with this, you're more than welcome to send the files over to us, so we can take a look.
