During a video slide, I want to show that an email message arrives on your phone by displaying a picture of a phone with the message displayed over the video. I have brought the image to the front, changed it from PNG to JPEG, deleted it, then reloaded it and attempted to sync it but it only displays in PowerPoint. What am I doing wrong or is it impossible in Presenter 13?
Hi, Pam -- Thanks for reaching out and my apologies if I am unclear on exactly what you need, but perhaps some of the ideas suggested over here in this discussion might be of some assistance?
Thanks Christie for the prompt reply. I figured it out. I had multiple videos throughout the training and used that effect on a couple of the video slides. Every time I edited any one of the videos in the presentation, the images on those two slides moved to behind the videos. Even when I moved them back to the front, they wouldn't display after that. But, when I accidently inserted then deleted a blank slide in front of the slide with the video and overlaying image, it worked correctly. Apparently manipulating any video in the presentation caused the problem but inserting a new slide ahead of it, then deleting it fixed it?!! (I provided a short sample of what I meant.) Maybe it's just me and my quirky computer but I'm curious, has anyone else had a similar issue?
Hi, Pam -- That is peculiar, and I am glad that you were able to determine and share a workaround! I cannot say that I have experienced that before, but perhaps others in the community may have, and they can share solutions that have worked for them in similar situations.
Wow. I gave up on that years ago. Seemed a bug to me that few were concerned about; I agree it's important... I have a dozen slides with video on them, I need to display some sort of slate over the top of the video for a few moments so what I have to do is:
(1) insert a blank slide in front of my target slide where the slate-in-front-of-video needs to function.
(2) Repeat the process 11 other times
(3) Now put the drop-in image "in front" of the video box
(4) Delete the bogus "slide in front" of the target slide
(5) repeat 11 other times
Pam, thanks for this! I will give it a try and report back if it works for me.
Christie -- could you advise if this is going to be put on a bug-fix for future releases?
Thank you Jim for letting me know I wasn't alone on this. I can't wait to hear if my trick works for you. My only caveat is, you can't mess with any of those video files with image overlays once you add and delete the bogus file or you'll have to start the process over. Good luck, my fingers are crossed!

Thank you both.
