1.Creat a new project,

2. Preview this project!

3. If it is normal, maybe your old project has been processed by presenter 13 but you forgot or by someone else using presenter 13 but you don't know!

Thank you Terry,

I don't really understand the meaning of those three steps up there... I need to open a project made by a professor. She put 6 hours on this project... Now she wants me to publish it.

What can I do?

But anyway, the project must be opened by presenter 09.

If it was creatediin Studio 13 then it will not open, you will need Studio 13.

You really need to find out what version of Studio they used, it may be that you simply need to update your version of Studio, or it may be an unfortunate situation where it has been produced in a newer version and you will be unable to open it.

I have a similar problem but slightly different. When I open up an Articulate Quizmaker '13 file with Quizmaker '13, I get the message, "This project cannot be opened. It may have been created in a newer version of Quizmaker." (See attached screen shot opened_with_qm-13.png) How can this file possibly be created with something newer than QM '13?

When I open the same file in Quizmaker '09, I get the message, "The path or file name for 01_Accuracy Knowledge Check.quiz is invalid. Please check that the path and file name are correct." (See attached screen shot opened_with_qm-09.png) It seems there is no way for me to open this file.

Can anybody else open 01_Accuracy Knowledge Check.quiz? (Also attached)

Hi. I am having a similar problem here. I have a quiz created in Quizmaker 13 that opens quite happily in my Quizmaker 13 but will not open in a collegue's newly installed and registered version of Quizmaker 13. When we try to open it on his Articulate stidio installation from within the presentation it makes all the right noises but just doesn't open at all and returns to the PowerPoint slide it is embedded in. When we try and open it directly from Quizmaker 13 it says the 'File is corrupt' which it clearly isn't. If we try yo import the slides it says that another instance of the quiz is open elsewhere. I am running update V5 and he is running the latest download from the Articulate site (V7). Any ideas as it is perplexing us.

Hi Ron, I lucked out and got replacement files from our client who happened to have copies. However, when I shared my problem with another team member, she pointed me to some other articles that might be helpful:

Hopefully there's something in there that you can use!
