Captivate 5.5 file embedded in Articulate

Oct 09, 2012

Hi all,

I successfully embedded the Captivate index.html  file to my slide(s) following all the directions I found. I am using a template with tabs along the top rather than using the Articulate Playbar. The problem is when the first CP movie ends, everything just stops. I thought that clicking close/exit/X on the CP playbar would close the movie and advance to the next slide in Articulate (I set the slide to advance when user clicks), however this does not work. Neither does it work when I set it to advance automatically (cuts off the CP movie and goes to next slide).

I'm ready to scrap everything and choose one or the other product and re-do the whole thing.

Any ideas?

Hi Bridget,

Would you like us to take a look and see if we can help? If so, please create an Articulate Presenter package, then upload the zip file to our server. You can review how to do this here:

Thank you Peter! I did a little more investigating and a lot of re-publishing and found that you can't navigate from Articulate slides with Captivate Web Objects on them without the Articulate navigation buttons. So- I applied a different template to my project (scrappng the tabbed theme) and added the playback buttons and I am good to go. I am hoping that the next release of Articulate plays a little better with Captivate (or maybe it's the other way around!). Thanks for the quick reply and the offer to look at it for me.
