Captivate 5 videos don't play locally using Firefox or IE
Aug 11, 2011
Who knows a way to force videos to show even when viewing content locally in a Web browser?
We're developing a course using Presenter '09, and had a bunch of videos that wee made with Captivate 5.
Since Captivate 5 uses Actionscript 3, we inserted these videos into the slides as Web Objects.
After publishing the course for the Web, we tried to view them from a local machine.
We can see the videos using Chrome or Safari, but none of the videos show up in either IE or Firefox.
None of the videos show up when running the .exe from a CD publish, either.
I know we should probably be viewing this course from a web server, since that's how it's published to deploy, but is there any way to make these videos viewable in IE and Firefox when viewing locally?
Any help is appreciated.

Hi John & welcome to Heroes,
Have you tried adding the "mark of the web" to the web objects & then inserting them?
