I used the work-around when inserting a Captivate 5.0 flash by inserting it as a "Web Object", however when I publish in Presenter the web object slide only shows a white screen. Can someone help? Is this an IE issue? Do I have my files in the wrong place?
Hi John. To add to Pete's point, modern day operating systems, web browsers and Flash player do not like when content on your local drive tries to access the internet and it will restrict this from happening. That could be why you are having an issue. An alternative to publishing the content online would be to publish for CD and launch the presentation via the Launch_presentation.exe file. That should workaround any security issues.
However, I do recommend always testing the content where it will eventually be. So if you are planning on hosting the content on a web server, ideally you would want to test the content in a staging or test area on your web server. Same thing with publishing for LMS or Articulate Online.

I have IE 7. The kicker is that I just did this a few months ago in creating a different course and that course functions just fine. I can't figure out while all of the sudden it won't work. Any thoughts? Could it be security settings (even though I've done this before)? I am publishing to a server and still no success.
I have a Captivate 5.5 simulation inserted into my Articulate project. I have the simulation sized to the 720 x 540 window so it should work within the frame. However, I see a white background around the object. Is there a way to change the color around my web object to match my skin so it appears seamless? I have looked around at the settings and haven't found a way to change it. Appreciate any feedback anyone can provide. Thanks so much, Christine
I am having a similar problem as well. Captivate 5 simulation embedded in Articulate Presenter 09 as a web object. My object is sized to 770 x 580 (Slide only view). The Presenter template displays, but the web object does not load or launch. I also just see a white background where the object should display.
I tested also on Chrome and Firefox and the web object does display with no issues.
If you'd like, we'd be happy to take a closer look at what's going on. First, create an Articulate Presenter Package of your presentation as described here. Then upload the resulting zip file from your computer on the second page of this form, and we''ll attempt to diagnose what's happening when we receive your upload. Thanks!

Hi John,
Sometimes a security issue with IE8 prevents the slide from displaying correctly. Try publishing your content online and viewing it from a server.
Also, it may help to return your IE settings back to default.
