Chinese font crash in 09

Aug 27, 2014

I'm updating some old courses in Presenter 09 to simplified Chinese. I'm experiencing crash/lockup issues on preview and publish. Is there a fix for this in Presenter 09?

Thanks,

Ben

I've published this same course in English several times. I published two shorter courses in simplified Chinese prior to this one and had some issues with preview-publish locking up, but I was able to rebuild one or two slides and they then published OK. In this current 27-slide course, I can preview the slides BEFORE I copy-paste in the Chinese fonts, but once the Chinese characters are in place, the preview progress bar locks up and I have to do a force shut-down of PowerPoint and a reboot to get Articulate to respond again.

I was thinking of installing a trial version of Presenter 13 to see if that can handle it. Are there any issues publishing files created with 09 with 13?

Thanks

Hi Ben!

If you are having problems with your program in general, you may need to conduct a repair.

So, you are welcome to download the trial of '13 and try that out, but if you are just looking to demo and see how it works for you, I would advise utilizing a different computer as you cannot have both programs on the same computer. Just a tip Anything that you newly create in '13 will not be reverse compatible back to '09 either. Your '09 courses will be upgraded and a backup created.
