Complete/Incomplete status not reporting back to LMS

Mar 23, 2015

Hello,

I have created a bunch of modules using Articulate Presenter '13. They are published for Scorm 2004 with a tracking of Complete/Incomplete. However, when I view the modules, take the quiz and get 100%, the tracking is still saying "in progress" in my LMS. I have tested it using IE and Chrome but am still having the issue. Please help!

Hi Lindsay!

Are you able to replicate your issue if you upload the content in SCORM Cloud? This will help us identify if the issue is with your course or with your LMS.

Hi Maureen!

I took a look at your case (00458910) and see that it is still open. You are welcome to continue working with them and send your debug logs as requested if you need further assistance.

Did you test it in Scorm Cloud as well and it worked for you? I have been in contact with the LMS company and they say that it is a problem with the published files and need to contact you and you are telling me that i need to contact them. I'm not really sure what to do now. I have attached the PPT file as well. Thank you for checking everything.

When I tested in SCORM Cloud, I got an incomplete completion with failed status.

Thanks for sharing your file. Looks like it was published last with Scorm 1.2 and Passed/Incomplete as the status.

I published with Scorm 2004 and Completed/Incomplete as you first mentioned and this is the result:

I was not able to take the quiz though, because I did not have the Articulate Package, so of course I failed :)

If you're experiencing issues with content in a learning management system (LMS), see the following article, which outlines common LMS viewing and tracking issues.

I spoke to the LMS company again and this is the response I have received. Please tell me what I need to do.

"After additional research and troubleshooting, they’ve concluded that the completion coding is written into the course file, and that they are not able to adjust settings to resolve on the LMS side. Their indication is that it needs to be resolved in the course editing software."

Hi Lindsay! I would advise that you check out the article that I shared above and see if a different tracking setting would alleviate your issue with your LMS.

If the content checks out OK in a tool such as SCORM Cloud, odds are there’s something amiss about how you’re uploading to your LMS or how the LMS is handling the Articulate-created content

I know that some users must modify output, which we do not support, to get things working as they wish with their individual LMS.
