Conversion Problems from PowerPoint to Presenter

Apr 01, 2011

We recently purchased Articulate to redevelope a Training Portal using a PowerPoint presentation. There are issues with the conversion from PowerPoint  '07 to Articulate Presenter '09. The pop-up description text is distorted and appears outside of the textbox in Articulate presentation.

Is this a common problem? If so, how can I fix this without recreating the PowerPoint presentation, which we would prefer to keep template in original form, so it can also be used as a PowerPoint presentation for training purposes.

Thank you.

Hi Laura & welcome to Heroes,

Articulate applications are not currently supported using a large DPI setting. If you are using 120 DPI some symptoms are:

- Elements of the application appear misplaced or distorted.

- The Preview displays misplaced or distorted elements.

- The published output is distorted or does not display correctly.

- Annotations do not line up correctly when you publish or preview.

- Logo does not display correctly.

You can resolve this issue by following the steps outlined in the article below:

If you continue to have issues, please let me know.

Thank you for your feedback, Brian.

I reviewed the DPI settings and they are correct at 96 DPI.

The issue is specifically with my text on the call outs, not appearing properly on the Articulate presentation, as designed in PowerPoint. The text appears outside of the callout in Articulate presentation upon conversion. The other textboxes appear okay in Articulate presentation.

Is this a design issue? Do I need to redesign the callout boxes so they can convert properly into Articulate?
