Convert Presenter '13 output to MP4?
Aug 16, 2016
Hi - I see lots of discussions about this for Storyline, but I have Presenter '13.
I have two clients - one has a full LMS, hence I use Presenter. But the other needs my lessons output to MP4. That is famously NOT one of the options for publishing via Presenter.
Question 1) Is there some third-party software that can convert one of the Presenter publishing outputs to MP4? I saw some old posts about converting SWF to MP4 - is that what Presenter '13 publishes?
Question 2) I really don't want to have to do this, but some other posts talked about running each lesson in Preview mode and using screen capture to record it as an MP4. The part that doesn't make sense to me is, how does that capture the audio? If this is a good option, what screen capture program should I use?
Thanks very much for your help, I have 8 hours of recordings I don't want to have to record again.
Michael

Hi Michael! I know you reached out here and Christie and I responded. Looks like you are reaching out for some community advice and assistance here and this older thread is the only one I'm aware of with some potentially helpful information.
Michael, I agree that preview and capture isn't a hugely attractive option, especially with scaling of the graphics. I have similar issues as you.
Just wanted to share for anyone following along that Michael was also posting here and got some assistance.
Hi Micheal, please see this string. I hope it helps!

Thanks for passing along that additional discussion, Dave!
A great screen capture program that includes audio is Camtasia. We use this program frequently.
Dave - this is incredibly helpful! Through trial and error I was halfway to discovering what you posted, you saved me the other half.
Dan - yes, I found that I can't get Reply to record "stereo mix" with Windows 10 but Camtasia records system audio automatically.
Thanks to the community!
