Just wondering how you all go about converting your existing PowerPoint presentations into E-learning Modules. What things do you add/take out/change to make it "e-learning friendly"?
Do you have a defined workflow, or does it depend on the module?
It really depends on the module, but generally speaking I start by re-thinking the design of my slides. With in-class training, a lot of the slides can be made up of bullet-points, but with e-learning I try to make more interactive by converting them into activities or quizzes, for example.
I agree with Anna, however I usually begin with a storyboard. I find it easier to plan and layout my thoughts before the creation begins. Once my content is arranged properly, i will insert quizzes/exercises/narration/animation and video.
@Allison I made a template in PPT.. I have a section for narration, visual content. programming notes, date, page no, etc. There are a lot of templates online as well! I find it really helpful, especially if you are expecting revisions.

Hi Anna and Sarah. Thanks for sharing your methods! It's always nice to hear how other people are doing things.
@Sarah, what format do you usually use for your storyboard?

That is true, if you do the storyboard in word you can use the Track Changes feature. Great idea!
