Course won't play on colleague's computer
Feb 07, 2017
Hi,
I have used Articulate Studio 13 to publish a course to CD. It plays fine for me and for some colleagues, but not others. Unfortunately one who cannot play it is the SME whose sign off I need before I can release into productiom.
We have tried using
- Winzip self-extracting zip (which we have successfully used for other courses for several years)
- Normal zip file and extracting all to local drive and launching from there
- copying the unzipped files to a local drive and launching from there
All of which result in him seeing the spinning loading icon for a while until finishing with just a white screen with a small, grey square in the top left.
I am now running out of ideas for how to resolve this problem.
Does anyone have any idea about what might be causing this?
Regards
Andy Parker

Hi there, Andy. The very first thing that I would check is if he has Internet Explorer (6 or later) and Adobe Flash Player (10.3 or later) installed on his machine, per our system requirements. Here's our information about sharing Presenter '13 content that was published for CD.
If those conditions are met, you can work with our support engineers to try to determine why his machine is failing to load the course!
Hi Crystal.
Thank you for this. He updated his flash player and it now works. Another colleague was unable to play the course due to not having enough disk space, but that error was clearly indicated.
I think I'll add a note about the system requirements when I distribute the course to customers.
Thanks again,
Andy
That's good news! Glad we could nail it down. Thanks, Andy!
