Courses not marking complete with IE but work fine with Firefox
May 20, 2013
Hello all,
I have a few courses not marking complete on lms with IE but work fine with chrome.
Our lms help desk provided the response below:
'These courses appear to have been authored in a version of Articulate that isn't supported in any IE browser greater than IE 8. To correct for this, these courses will need to re-published in a later version of Articulate that play in IE9 or greater.'
The response above is definitely not true as the version of articulate doesnt seem to be the problem.Studio 09 was used in creating these courses.I didnt create the courses and do not have all the files to republish the courses.
Has anyone encountered this issue with IE? firefox works perfectly.
Your thoughts are more than welcome and appreciated.
Thanks
Maurine

Hi there Maurine,
What version of IE are you using when you encounter this issue? Is it Internet Explorer 10, or earlier?
If it is Internet Explorer 10, it may be related to an issue we recently fixed with an update:
Articulate Studio '09 Content Doesn't Track in an LMS When Viewed in Internet Explorer 10
Can you take a look and let me know if that may be the problem, please?
Thanks very much!
Christine
Hi Christine,
The issue is encountered with IE 10 and earlier.I will download the studio 9update you provided above and will report if the issue reoccurs.Do you have a fix for IE earlier?
Thanks so much
Maurine
Hi Maurine,
Great, let me know how it goes :)
There isn't a fix in place for versions earlier than 10, because this issue (the one I linked in the earlier thread) didn't exist until 10 was released. If this is happening with versions earlier than 10 for you, it may be something entirely different.
Hopefully that update will help, but if not, please let me know.
Thanks!
Hi Christine,
Is there a fix for IE earlier than 10? Users with earlier versions seem to have the issue of the course not exiting/marking complete.
Please let me know
Maurine
Hi Maurine,
As I mentioned earlier, there isn't a fix in place for versions earlier than 10, because this issue is specific to Internet Explorer 10.
What are the versions that are having this issue?
Also, have you tested your course in SCORM Cloud using the other versions?
If you're using AICC content please take a look at the article below for testing information:
