I'm wondering if you can give the user the option for which language they would like to hear the course audio in? Or do you have to make a new course for every translation?
What i'm envisioning is the user starting the course and then having a prompt or a menu item they can select to choose the language. This way, if you make a change, you only need to change one .ppt and then any related audio tracks rather than 2 .ppts and 2 audio tracks.
Can you go into a little more detail about how exactly you'd like to have your course set up? If it's feasible, I have no doubt that one of our community members will be able to help brainstorm how to build it.
I'm working on a multi-language course with a branch for each language. Is there a way to get the course to report the learner language preferences with a trigger or variable? Thanks!
Hi Valentino! Have you seen this thread with a solution using layers? Not sure if this works for your need, but thought it would at least get your brain going since the community has not chimed in yet. Thanks so much and have a great day!
Does your LMS has the option for a learner to select language option? I create the Course in several language options and then when the learner selects their language it only shows the courses that are tagged in that language. It is time consuming to set up multiple courses in each language but it is seamless for the learner as they only see courses in there language form the start. the other benefit is that each course is not so large a file to load. jus t thought.
I just entered a product enhancement request related to allowing multiple language narration. I think it would be very helpful. Still wondering about text.
The suggested example in Storyline doesn't help me as we use presenter.
Thanks Deborah for sending along a feature request - and I know it's something our team has discussed. In the meantime, have you looked at creating multiple courses using the translation feature and linking them all from a main launch page on your site or similar hosting platform?

Hi Jessica and welcome to Heroes,
You'll need to create a new course for every translation.
If you'd like to see better support for multiple languages in a future release, please submit a feature request to us by using the link below:

Hi Brian -
So there is no way to perhaps use a lookup table for the audio files? I am searching the community forums in hope of finding something like that.
