Creating Links

Jul 13, 2012

Hi there,

I am trying to create links, in Presenter, to other slides within the same presentation.  I want these links to be optional i.e. the slide will only display if the link is clicked.  The information in the linked slides is just additional information therefore i don't want it to display in the presentation unless the link is accessed.

I have created the link (using Ctrl-K) and the link is working, however the slide is displaying in the presentation and i want to hide it (unless its accessed via the link).

Any ideas?

Thanks

Welcome Lindsay!

You can hide slides from showing by setting the option the Slide Properties dialog.

1. under the Articulate menu item Select

2. Slide properties.

3. Right click the Navigation Title column for the slide you want to hide

4. Select "Hide in navigation panel".

Just remember that if you have the completion for the course set to Slides Viewed, the hidden slides are not counted in this view. So if you have it set to 24 slides viewed, and they don't see two hidden slides, the course will never complete, as they were never set to viewed within Articulates slide counter data.

Thanks for your reply!

I have tried this and it is updating the Navigation Title to (hidden) however when i publish it is still appearing as i navigate through thr course.

I only want the slide to show when i click on the link however even when i do not click on the link it is still showing.

The information contained is optional so i dont want it to appear unless clicked via the link.

Is there a step that im missing?

Thanks
